Weather Update and Reminder Friday, August 14, 2026

Team Vigo Families, 

It has been wonderful to be back in school with our students! We hope your child(ren) enjoyed the week and settled back into a routine. 

Our staff continues to monitor the weather as dismissal time approaches. As you travel through Vigo County, remember many students walk home from school, while others will be crossing streets and roadways as they exit the bus.

For families who depend on VCSC Transportation, please keep in mind buses may be delayed, as bus drivers navigate down tree limbs or high water.

Student safety for all students is our top priority.

A reminder, VCSC staff members will communicate via ParentSquare any change to middle and high school activity schedules. The decision to cancel a practice and/or club meeting is left to the discretion of each school’s principal and staff.
